Salam presents a series of lectures on elements of QCD that can be studied at the LHC at the graduate student level.

Some of the topics covered in these lectures are not just restricted to the Higgs, but also studies of the Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) and accessing the Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) for the proton. Salam also summarizes the different techniques used for QCD predictions of Z boson productions and other complex processes at leading order and next-to-leading order. He also discusses quark-jet production and the different algorithms used to construct them.

These lectures are concise and are sometimes dense with jargon. However there are plenty of references to whet your appetite for more.
